Diving excursions

Submarine world of the islet Grebeni / Reefs / (5-15 min drive by boat), island of Kolocep (20-30 min) and island of Sveti Andrija (45 min)  belong to the most beautiful underwater landscapes in the South Adriatic.

Besides the rich and varied flora and fauna characteristic of the South Adriatic,

(such as stonebass, moray eel, black umber, grouper, lobster and conger eel), you will also be  fascinated by magnificent underwater reefs and caves, and by the ship wreck from the World War II, named ''Taranto'', length 60 m,  located  just in front of our diving centre.
And the sea, whose temperature in the South Adriatic in summer reaches up to 25°C, with a  transparency and clearness up to the depth of 40 m, is ideal for diving and submarine photography.

The afternoon excursions are specially adored by young people, so they can get a nice morning sleep after a stormy night.

Guests love the full-day excursions because of the possibility to get acquainted and to have a lot of fun.

These excursions usually take you to distant diving positions, to an island with a virgin nature.

NIGHT EXCURSIONS

Our guests adore the night diving due to the magnificent sunsets and to the excellent diving position located just in front of the diving centre. The night diving is excellent also for the underwater photographers, because fish when blinded with lamp light do not escape, and more of them can be seen diving by night than by day.

After the night diving, above our centre at the swimming pool we have a jacuzzi with warm water and a cocktail-bar, and for ther hungry ones there is a restaurant as well.

 

SECURITY:
- all diving is done with one or more qualified instructors or divemasters
- all instructors or divemasters have passed the first aid course
- there is oxygen in the diving centre and on the boat
- 2x briefing

Briefing prior to getting aboard:

-   where you will go for diving
-   determining bodypartners
-   determining the maximum
    depth
-   determining the maximum
     immersion duration
-   procedure in case of danger
-   departure and arrival time

 

Briefing prior to immersions:

-  hand signals
-  body-check
-  control of  plummets on the surface
-  procedure in case of losing your
   partner

RULES

1. Max. depth  40 m
2. Consuming alcohol prohibited prior to immersion
3. Deco-immersions prohibited
4. Each person is responsible for his/her equipment
    and has a duty to wash and dismantle it after the immersion.

WARNING:

- book your diving excursion at least one day in advance,
  as the list might be full.
- choice of the diving position depends on time conditions and experience
  of the divers in the group
-  it is suggested to have on you your Diving Certificate and diving booklet

We recommend a short Padi Review programme for the divers who have not dived for more than 2 years, to refresh your theoretical and practical knowledge.

ADVANTAGES

If there are free places left, we also accept aboard the non-divers who are divers' friends or relatives.
